Brise Ajal, a young human woman talented in both weapons and temple magic, has been inexplicably connected to a enormously powerful magic user, Varalag, who has captured a demon and using his powers to strengthen her own. Brise is working secretly to release the demon and, ultimately herself, from Varalag’s clutches. If Brise fails, then Varalag could rise to rule the Four Lands.
